[CDC] a Bloody Cost [Closed]

Card Design Challenge - a Bloody Cost - Closed

Design a card that requires it's controller to sacrifice other deployed cards

--- The Challenge ---
Sometimes resources aren't enough for payment. Sometimes the powers you want to summon are so great that blood sacrifices have to be made. So for the next two weeks, design a card that requires its controller to sacrifice other deployed cards.
The sacrifice doesn't have to be done upon entering the deployed area, it can also be the cost of an ability the card can activate multiple times or it can be a continuous effect. You may choose to sacrifice any kind of card (artifacts, locations missions or characters). You can also choose to kill your own deployed character (the difference between sacrifice and killing is that when you kill a character you lose morale, sacrifice is morale-free). Go wild!
In game examples:
  • Summoner of the deep
  • Acolyte of the Altar
  • Demon of Gluttony
  • Blood Arrow
  • Splat
  • Nysrugh (both)
  • Wholesale Slaughter
  • Shield Generator
  • Unstable Bomb-bot
  • Overclock
  • Secluded Constructor
  • Genesis Battlesuit
  • Shrapnel Launcher
  • Ultra-unit

--- Card Design Challenge Rules ---
1) The Judge appoints a challenge, it can be anything, making new card, redesigning an old one or whatever you wish.
2) All that wish to participate submit their card design. Each participant may only submit one entry per challenge, you may however edit your post as many times as you wish till the deadline.
3) If you edit your post you should make an additional post in this thread informing of the edit to make sure that the updated version of the card will be judged. The post should contain the full updated card details as well as a brief summary of what changed from your original submission.
4) After an announced deadline the Judge decides a winner. The winner then becomes the Judge for the next round.
5) All entries submitted before the deadline are guaranteed feedback, either in this thread or in another detailed feedback thread.

--- Prizes ---
1st place: 3 alt art packs and 3 collection penta packs
2nd place: 2 alt art packs and 2 collection penta packs
3rd place: 1 alt art pack and 1 collection penta pack
All participants who submit an entry will receive a collection penta pack

Name: Altar of the Doomed
Faction/Purity: Sleepers of Avarrach or Exiles
Type: Location
Rarity: Epic
Cost: 6
Rules Text:
Any non-Unique Demon and Undead Character you control cannot be affected by non-targeting effects of cards other than itself.
Exhaust, sacrifice a Character you control: Target Character loses all text and becomes exhausted this turn. The first time that the targeted Character dies, it moves to your Support Zone, gaining Infect and Consume 2.

Flavor Text:
A small surviving portion of a lavishly-decorated cathedral.
The space for the altar seemed to have been completely obliterated by someone's... or something's inhuman rampage. The area now sporting only some few pieces of ripped-up fabric and rotting wooden furniture with numerous eerie symbols in red paint, it reeked of decay and corruption more than ever.
Hearing a strange dissonant chorus of groaning, moaning, hissing and sneering, the men of the rescue unit faltered in their footsteps when they turned to meet the sight of a seemingly infinite number of shambling corpses and malformed humanoid creatures steadily marching towards them.
Frozen in fear and disbelief at the unheard alliance, they could only watch in muted horror as they were devoured by the undead and the demons alike.

Yana, Life Merchant
1p OoS
5 cost
13 morale
Unique Character- Angel

Vigilance

Whenever a character you control dies, it gains +3/+1 permanently.

When Yana, Life Merchant kills a character, return the character closest to the bottom of your graveyard to play.

Pay 3: Yana, Life Merchant kills target character you control. This can only be used if Yana, Life Merchant is deployed.

5/10
--

Her graveyard recycling aside simply giving things such a huge buff from command brings more less used cards into viability.

Even wihout hehkeem (that would be a bit op) u now have incentive to use Best Fiends, Risen of averrach, and Reccuring Nightmare. This also buffs Last Sleeper a bit as well. Sleeper of Avarrach is still kinda crap but a bit more usable now as it has a nonhehkeem way of returning to play.

Possibly allows for OoS Sleepers decks. But also can be used in warpath from command+fight.

Also imagine dropping her wih vigilance into a line of FD. Just killing 2 things before she dies brings back 2 things from the grave. Reasonably powerful for her cost (compare with Awaken which absolutely brings back something, she has to kill things and you dont get to choose what comes back)

does this entry count? or does it have to be sacrifice?
The main difference here is you lose morale when she "sacrifices"

Yes, killing your own is okey, I'll add it in the description.

Non-Unique Characters you control cannot be affected by non-targeting card effects.
Exhaust, sacrifice a Character you control: Target Character loses all text and becomes exhausted this turn. If that Character dies, it moves to your Support Zone, gaining Infect and Consume 2.

So, to get this clear:
We have character_1, you sacrifice him. Then you target character_2. Character_2 loses all text and becomes exhausted. If Character_2 dies, it moves to the support zone and gains infect + consume 2.
If character_2 dies again, does he move to the support zone again? Or does he die for real this time?

Pain Embodied
1 purity CoV - Common
0 cost
Ability

Kill a character you control and target an opponent character. The opponent character takes 1.5X damage (rounded up) where X is the morale cost of the killed character you control.

It only works once just like Undead Corruption unless you want to keep targeting the same text-less Character which won't really give you an advantage. Unless you take a big fat meatie.
But then it has no Unstoppable or Reach so it won't be clearing anything.
And you still suffer morale penalties if it doesn't die by a non-sacrifice effect.

Sounds more like an ability than a location. Maybe name it Drone Recycling Facility?

What the crap is "fall into play" suposed to mean? And more importantly how does this sacrifice anything.

Does this happen the turn you play it or the turn after? Because Im not sure its possible to have this happen the turn you play it. Also the fact it would be a little overpowered for its cost if this were the case. I like that it involves cost though, you can kinda use burden of command with it
