Bug Hunting! (List of known bugs)

Hey folks. This is a beginning list of known bugs in the game. We have many of them documented already, but we're going to provide a single running list here to let you know which bugs w are aware of. I'll keep this list updated as bugs get fixed and pushed to either the test server or the live server depending on the bug, and on our hotfix timings.


Note: we are not done logging every bug here, I am going to be adding to it. If you want to reply to this topic with a bug we haven't mentioned yet, please wait until August 5th at 5am IWT (About 25 hours after this posting).


The Bugs:


  • Gold borders invisible during draft picks  - Fixed internally, coming in a hotfix soon.
  • Log-in timing out
  • Solace's Gate being indestructible. (If only this was a feature.. ;) )
  • Apparition not copying passive abilities when used to duplicate a character.
  • Fixed: Raise Dead showing up as Commander option in Draft (let us know if it comes up again)
  • After raising Rita's tokens using Avarrach has Risen, rita's tokens continue blocking for her, even when the tokens are controlled by the other player
  • Legacy Titles still missing for some users
  • When Xac turns into Pit Lord, he does not get consume 2
  • Cost & Health filter issue. When searching for Cost<4 and Health<4, the result is cards with Cost<4 and health=4
  • Agent Coyle, Superior Symbiote cannot be activated from the grave.
  • Infested Hulker is only an Undead, and not a Beast.
  • Splitter bot splitting two times
  • Bug with Filing Cabinet and Tygrugh - cost not updating
  • Bug where Infected Devil/Purifier/Monk being targeted with Demonic Reflection results in "2 lives" instead of normal transform effect on death, when used on said characters after they were the subject of Ethereal Fusion
  • Hehkeem, The Corrupted unable to raise character
  • Bug where 3 players get warped into the same 1v1 match in PVP.
  • Bug where campaign FlameDawn 5 can freeze-up after playing Mechanize.
  • Visual bug with characters coming from the graveyard.
  • When AI is supposed to discard cards, it instead plays them if it has the resources and intention to play said card.
  • Scrolling issue in the Store page.
  • Fiery Resolve is not protecting Infected Purifier/Monk/Devil from Void Split.
  • Fixed: Uncontrolled Rift showing in battle log for the opponent, revealing player's hand.
  • Unknown effect using Corrupted Celestial Dragon, still investigating.
  • In certain cases, no rewards received on player level-up.
  • PVP matches not recording wins properly
  • Swapping Champions can cause endless turn.
  • Drafting cards with invalid purities for the draft deck.
  • SoA gameplay very choppy in general
  • Ixxi not playing itself automatically when in a user's command zone.
  • Card not showing in collection library during deck creation, despite being a valid addition
  • issue where a player cannot reset their in-game password.
  • Game crashes stemming mostly from deckbuilder
  • More to be added!

No? This is an honest list of some of the bugs we have collected and need to fix, in no particular order. We have a lot more to add, as I stated in the original post.

I was not questioning the quantity of the bugs, but rather the quality of the bugs. Some of these are isolated player issues and I don't see how the developers could possibly fix the issues without breaking the game somewhat further. Some of these seem like misinformation rather than bugs as well.

They're definitely not misinformation; I think you've been around Genesis Spy a bit too long! In addition, isolated player issues may very well happen again for any user. I'd certainly rather we investigate them before they potentially happen again. It doesn't mean we'll prioritize random one-player issues before tackling bigger population-wide issues.

It also does not mean we will go hunting, and then if we can't figure it out keep on searching for hours or days while ignoring bugs that are more easily tracked. We typically go after bugs reports that have game logs and/or output logs attached as well, so anything without logs will generally take a back-seat until we A. get a game/output log, or B. can duplicate the issue ourselves.

What about the bug where Denial of magic is played for double resources (4 cost instead of 2 cost)?
Easily fixed with Undo with other cards but it's a different case with denial of course.

More bugs to be added as soon as these ones are fixed.

Also is solace gate indistructible or untouchable? I would imaging the problem is that it is untouchable because it is registering itself as a creature most likely. An easy way to test would be to try destroying it with oblivion.

I have experienced the same problem as NTL with my 16 wins run. Kinda discouraging.

We are very sorry about that error in our system. We have found the bug with rift run rewards, and the fix was deployed earlier today. For anyone affected by that, we're prepared to fully reimburse you.
