Orbian faction Set 2 - Empire

This is my second set of cards that I am making.  Due to internet avaiblity I cant guarantee the frequency of updates but my goal is to make another 100 card set.

Feel free to post comments about cards on this thread and I will answer to your comments/concerns as best and quickly as I can.  Hope you enjoy.

CARD NAME : Magicguns, Infernal Ambassador

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : Magicguns wields two blades, one that burns with fire and the other of brilliant metal that cuts through anything.  At his hip is a golden hand gun that appears to look like a dragon.  The animation is of him fighting and then it zooms out to show many people falling around him as he sheaths his blades.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST :  6/8

CARD PURITY : 2 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT :  He would rather be out fighting but tends to be buried in paperwork instead.

CHARACTER TYPES : Unique Character Human

CARD POWER/HEALTH :10/10

CARD BUFFS: Multi Strike 2

CARD ABILITIES : Pay 8, Exhaust.  Magicguns, Infernal Ambassador deals 5 damage to up to 3 target deployed characters and they become Immolated for 3 damage. Magicguns, Infernal AMbassador becomes Exhausted next turn.

If Magicguns, Infernal Ambassador is targeted by an ability card he is sent to the support zone.

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES : Sent from the Infernal Empire to act as an ambassador in the embassy, Magicguns is a formidable opponent.  However he is displeased with his position as he would rather be on the battlefield instead of buried under paperwork.  He suspects that their are other motives to sending someone as unpolitical as himself to this postion as whenever he is getting ready to enter a battle he always gets more paperwork.


CARD NAME : Infernal Nobles

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION :  Men and women in lavish robes and jewelry.  They are large, lazy and show no signs of having ever been in battle.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST : 3/4

CARD PURITY : 1 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT : The wealthy families of the Empire enjoy lazy lifestyles and never enter the battle.  (alternate text)  Rumor has it they plan to over turn the ancient policies of the Empire.

CHARACTER TYPES : Human

CARD POWER/HEALTH : 0/4

CARD BUFFS: None

CARD ABILITIES : As long as Infernal Noble is deployed increase your base Resources by 2 and all characters you control get -1/0.

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES : The Infernal Empire is all about honor and glory through battle.  However the nobles have grown lazy and avoid combat.  Some say that they mean to overturn the Empires policies on battle.

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION :Kredox usually appears as a cloud on darkness with red glowing eyes.  Energy crackles around the cloud.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST :6/8

CARD PURITY : 2 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT : When the Society began to fall chaos literally began to take over.

CHARACTER TYPES : Unique Character - Human

CARD POWER/HEALTH :4/ 10

CARD BUFFS: Flying

CARD ABILITIES : When Kredox, Chaos of the Society deals damage to a fortress add 1 Bunny to your hand.

Pay 8, Exhaust.  Kredox Chaos of the Society deals 1 damage to up to 3 target deployed characters.  Those characters become exhausted till the end of the next turn.  Kredox, Chaos of the Society becomes exhausted next turn.


Bunny - 1 Orbian, Character - Beast , costs 1 reasorce 0 moral, 0 power 3 Health.  When Bunny dies target character you control gains +1/+1

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES : When the Society began to fall Kredox swooped in and took over.  He is a being of chaos and darkness making him fit in the remains of the Socity very well.  He has a strange fascination with the slaughter of bunnies.


CARD NAME : Infernal Flamespreader

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : A man covered in soot and carrying many jars of flammable liquid.  He throws and pours the liquid all over causing fires to rapidly spread.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST : 4/6

CARD PURITY : 1 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT : I want to see the whole world on fire.

CHARACTER TYPES : Character Human

CARD POWER/HEALTH : 1/6

CARD BUFFS: Flamestrike 1

CARD ABILITIES : Pay 3, Target Immolated Character takes 2 damage.  Increase its Immolation by 1 and adjacent characters become Immolated by 1.

CARD NAME : Unstable Firefiend

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : A large fire elemental which attempts to contain its power but ultimately fails and ignites the area in flames.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST :5/2

CARD PURITY : 2 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT : In life they engorge themselves in flames, in death they return those flames tenfold.

CHARACTER TYPES : Elemental

CARD POWER/HEALTH :5/3

CARD BUFFS: Haste

CARD ABILITIES : Unstable Firefiend gets +1/-1 at the end of each turn.  When Unstable Firefiend dies all characters in the same zone as it become immolated by 1.

Pay 3: Choose a zone.  Unstable Firefiend control switches to your opponent and becomes locked into that zone. This ability may only be used once.

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES : Think of an unstable bomb bot except its made of pure fire and you can make it go boom in your opponents support, it doesn't deal any actual damage but it does immolate everything in the zone.  It also could be used to serve another purpose....

CARD NAME : Infernal Flamemender

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : She throws out flames that heal and energize the soldiers around her.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST : 4/9

CARD PURITY : 2 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT : The Sacred Flame purges our foes and cleanses our allies.

CHARACTER TYPES : Human

CARD POWER/HEALTH :0/5

CARD BUFFS: None

CARD ABILITIES : While Infernal Flamemender is deployed all characters you control are healed an amount equal to their Immolation instead of damaged.

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES : Don't have much to say about this one as I think its pretty self explanatory, great in combo with Unstable Firefiend if you need healing.

CARD NAME : Raviox, Head Knight of the Alliance

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : Raviox wheres light armor and wields a single blade.  He is seen dashing up to opponents and striking them swiftly.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST : 6/8

CARD PURITY : 2 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT : Head of the new Knights of the Orber, he seeks to maintain peace  and balance between Orbian and the Outlands. 

CHARACTER TYPES : Unique Human

CARD POWER/HEALTH : 10/7

CARD BUFFS: Charge

CARD ABILITIES : When Raviox, Head Knight of the Alliance enters combat he deals combat his combat damage first.

Pay 8.  Exhaust. Target 3 Deployed Characters your opponent controls.  Raviox, Head Knight of the Alliance deals 3 damage to each of them and they are moved to the Defensive Zone.  Raviox, Head KNight of the Alliance becomes exhausted next turn.

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES :  Raviox is all about speed.  Strike quickly and strike first, keep them on the defense.  His strength and speed allowed him to prove his worth to lead the Knights in their new quest of peace, but this didn't come without its own complications as his father, Haydn, was a follower of Xan making things a bit complicated for him when interacting with the Infernal Empire.

CARD NAME : Rain of Sacred Flame

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : Golden flames rain down from the sky on friend and foe alike.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST : 6

CARD PURITY : 1 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT : In the midst of the battle the priest prayed to Xan for a boon.

CHARACTER TYPES : Ability

CARD POWER/HEALTH : N/A

CARD BUFFS: None

CARD ABILITIES : All Characters on the battlefield become Immolated 2.

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES : Fire falls and burns all. Cause who doesn't love a good mass burning.

CARD NAME : Hatchery

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : A torch lit cave chamber filled with large eggs.  Every now and then the eggs will shake.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST : 2

CARD PURITY : 2 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT : The empire always keeps a steady supply of Dragon eggs ready to be hatched for battle.  (if you view the card for several minuites)  Also a great source of protein in the most dire of situations.

CHARACTER TYPES : Location

CARD POWER/HEALTH : N/A

CARD BUFFS:

CARD ABILITIES : At the Start of each turn Hatchery creates a 0/1 Egg.  If you control 6 or more Dragons, other than Egg, Hatchery creates 3 Eggs instead.

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES :
Egg, (moral/cost0/1, Dragon, At the end of each turn Egg gains 1 Hatching.  When Egg has 4 Hatching it Transforms into a 8/8 Dragon with Flying and Flamestrike 1.


CARD NAME : Dragon Landstrider

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : A large and elongated dragon (kind of like komodo dragon) dashing across the terrain with an Infernal Soldier riding it.

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST :3/7

CARD PURITY : 1 Orbian

CARD FLAVR TEXT : Not all dragons are winged fire breathing terrors of the sky.  Some are speedy terrors of the land.

CHARACTER TYPES : Dragon

CARD POWER/HEALTH : 3/4

CARD BUFFS: Charge

CARD ABILITIES : While your opponent controls no Locations Dragon Landstrider gains +4/+4.

Pay 3, remove target deployed human you control from the game to become Dragon Landstrider's mount.  While Dragon Landstrider has a mount it gains +2/+2 and Unstoppable.  When Dragon Landstrider dies return its mount returns to the game in the same zone Landstrider died.

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES :  Early game hard hitter but loses a great deal of power as soon as your opponent plays a location, new unfamiliar battlefield makes fast movements harder.

Originally I was going to make it Unblockable when mounted but thought that might make Dragon Landstrider too OP so made it Unstoppable instead.

CARD NAME : Undead Bovine

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : A large bull in a state of decay.  Despite its undead status it is extremely agile and powerful

CARD RESOURCE COST/MORAL COST : 7/4

CARD PURITY : 1 Orbian 1 Sleeper

CARD FLAVR TEXT : Take the bull by the horns....

CHARACTER TYPES : Undead Cow

CARD POWER/HEALTH :3/15

CARD BUFFS: Charge

CARD ABILITIES : Characters that enter battle with Undead Bovine are exhausted if not killed.

Pay 3.  Undead Bovine moves to the asuult Zone, gains Multi Stike 3 and can not take more then 3 damage from a single source

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES : One of the most infamous encounters in Orbian.  This bovine was known to take out groups of advetures easyily by knocking them over constantly and stunning them and hitting everyone with its over powered round house kicks.

CARD NAME : A Passing of Infiltrators

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : Agent Coyle and Gigonoth walking past each other in the halls.  (Image changes between 8 diffenet scenes, one for each faction)

CARD APPERANCE AND ANIMATION : A short, stocky dwarven man wielding a smithing hammer.  A pile of metal ingots lay before him and a swings his hammer once.  Card flashes brightly and when it clears he holds a finished blade in hand.

CARD FLAVR TEXT : He seeks to make the ultimate weapon for the ultimate warrior.

 At the start of your turn you discard a random card in your hand, if you don't Sacarfice Acolye of Glutteny.

Pay X : Acolyte of Gluttney gains Consume X where X is the amount paid to activate this ability

INDEF DESCRIPTION OF CARD ABILITES :  While I was talking on chat with others in game about some of the cards I had made it came up on why the demons I made in the previous set didn't have any purity in Dod even though they were based on Chinese mythology.  I explained my reasons and we got talking and I came up with this set of cards so enjoy the acolytes and monks.

A grotesquely large being stuffing its face with food in preparation of an offering. An alternate animation plays after awhile of the enlarged Monk being eaten by Taotie.

Each time a non artificial character you control is sacrificed Monk of Gluttony heals 3 health.

Whenever Monk of Gluttony kills a character increase his Consume by 1. If Monk of Gluttony Consume reaches 6 or higher Sacrifice him and create an Embodiment of Gluttony, Taotie in your hand with its resource cost reduced by 4

These guys may get a quick balance edit to them as I can't currently find my first set of cards to insure that their abilities are balanced in creating the Demons

When you deploy Acolyte of Stubbornness select either the Assulult of the Defense Zone.  Acolyte of Stubbornness becomes locked to that Zone.

Whenever Acolyte of Stubbornness receives damage he gains +1/+1


CARD NAME : Monk of Stubbornness

Despite the many attacks being used against him he refuses to move an inch.

When you Deploy Monk of Stubbornness you may Overcharge it up to 3 times.  Monk of Stubborness gains and additional life for each time you Overcharge it.

If Monk of Stubbornness was Overcharged and loses its last life he is removed from the game and creates an Embodiment of Stubbornness, Táowù in your hand with its resource cost reduced by the number of times Monk of Stubbornness was Overcharged +1.

If you do not pay Acolyte of Deviousness ability at the start of your turn all its abilities are canceled.
