Agent Coyle, Assimilator + Secluded Constructor

I was drafting the other day and I couldn't sacrifice any creatures to my Secluded Constructor with AC, Assimilator deployed.

What is going on ?

When did you deploy Assimilator?
He only works during the first turn of his deployment and only on characters that are in the attack or defense zone.

Basically his text should read
"When you deploy..."
instead of
"When deployed..."
to avoid confusion.

I tried it the turn I deployed him (so while he's exhausted) and the turn after that and both didn't work. And if it only works during a certain turn then the cards text definitely needs to be changed.

Problem with constructor is u need thw thing to already have the text artificial during planning phase or it doesnt work.
Assimilator is an on deploy effect which means when it comes down, all ur stuff on the battlwfield will become artificial and undead permanently. However this only happens the turn u play him.
The next turn, u shud be able to use ur constructor on ur now turned artificial characters.

So this means constructor doesn't have soft-targeting like Aleta Tinkerer?
This should be standardized somehow.
Either all cards should have soft-targeting or none (preferably former).
