Containment Armor
cost 6
2 DoD
moral 15
character - spirit
can't block
at the end of the turn Containment Armor loses -0/-3
when Containment Armor dies put a 10/10 flying demon on the battlefield
1/20

Make the demon bigger and you got yourself a deal.

Just gave me an interesting idea. Doesnt fit the challenge perfectly but:

My entry is still the other one btw

Decaying Shambler
2 Purity SoA
5 Cost Character
12/12
8 Morale

At the end of each turn Decaying Shambler is deployed, it gets -3/-3 and create a 2/2 Undead Character.

The demon was originally a 20/20 but I thought that was too good. I will bring it up to 15/15 unless you think that also is too weak.  On the topic of the higher morale it was just flavor, the DoD trapped a demon and don't want it out

A normal 15/15 flying for 6 would still be kinda weak let alone one with a massive drawback.

Bleeding Celebrant
Character - Human
Rarity: Uncommon
Cost: 2
Purity: 2 CoV
Morale: 4
2/7

If Bleeding Celebrant is in play at the start of the turn, she loses -0/-3 and you draw an extra card.

The deeper the cut, the greater the reward.

The idea is that the character in question performs a self-bleeding ritual to gain an advantage. You know, Verore, dark rituals and so on.

Is there a timeline on this? Just wondering. There seems to be a lot of entries this time around

Is there a timeline on this? Just wondering. There seems to be a lot of entries this time around

Been busy taking care of sick family. I was gonna go through them this past weekend and give a time frame of judging them this Friday the 15th. I will make sure to judge by then, but any individual feedback before the end won't happen. There are too many to go through to be fair to anyone I might not get to. I will just give general points now and people can make any changes they feel like their card might need.

Flavor text goes a long way to selling the card. It doesn't have to be factual to the time line. It can just give a glimpse into the card, or something funny if appropriate.

Having too many abilities and long ability descriptions are hard to balance. If they have too many options, it gives too much power. Sometimes simple is better.

It doesn't have to reduce the health of the card that is played, but it does have to reduce a card you control each round. This leaves room for card types that might not be present currently.

Pay attention to card costs and stats. Make sure they line up somewhat with current cards or you risk them being perceived as too powerful.

There are lots of cool ideas I didn't foresee. Even if your card isn't being talked about, I am seeing them and I like them. Sometimes the less talked about card is a solid card and doesn't need criticism.

I will have judgments by this Friday.

There are a lot of entries and I am in the middle of reviewing all of them. Below is just a list of the people and their cards in the most up to date version of their entry. If any of them are not fully updated, let me know ASAP. I will be posting the winners this Friday the 15th.

Order is of original postings. I tried to get all the edits that were not made in line. There are a couple side card ideas I skipped over because they were not the main entry. If I made a mistake, just let me know and I will update the entry to judge accordingly.

For my entry it still says "notes on purity below." I think the best bet for purity for the card is 1 CoV/1 Exiles
Resident LoreNinja, Tavern-Ninja
Gao Han or Gao Home!
Into the Fray, a novel of Infinity Wars

Why do flavor texts matter in a gameplay card design challenge? There was no mention about it in the OP

Well flavor text can go a certain way toward giving character to a card. Card design challenge is simply a card design challeneg. i think he is simply stating his preferences tho maybe he should have stated them in the beginning

I won't mark down a card that doesn't have flavor text. But it is a card design challenge. Many current cards in the game have flavor text, and some of them have multiple flavor texts. If the card feels complete without flavor text, then don't add it. Sometimes simple is better, and this applies to flavor text too.

I didn't see a post saying you made a choice. I've updated my post and my offline notes to read 1 CoV/1 Exiles. Thanks for the updated info on the entry.

It's my bad for not updating it earlier, so that post was basically my decision-making one. No worries.
