Is Orion dead?
« on: February 17, 2015, 06:32:26 PM »
I was looking for cards this morning for my Genesis decks and I noticed one that was Orion's grave? Is he plot dead? If so how did he die and who or what killed him? He seemed interesting from what I saw in the campaign or is this just a possible future, yet another alternate reality deal?

Orion is definitely dead. His Grave confirms that as canon.

As for the how and when, well, we don't have too many specifics. I would highly suggest the "One Last Step" fanfic on this forum, which appears to be about as canon as we're going to get at the moment. And, well, it's a great piece.

Yes, Orion is dead.

He was killed by Flame Dawn under the influence of the Overseers, as he would not disclose the location of Aleta, the Immortal Sufferer.

His grave is a huge monument in the city, commemorating all that he did for his people.

Oh wow! I didn't expect a Dev response! Thank you for the information as Genesis one of the two factions I adore in this game the most? Even little lore bits are neat and sometimes effect my deck builds.  Then again this is the infinity wars? Have we seen the last of this Orion? Or could the be another, you never know.

Here's Grinnin_Gin's story, "One More Step" (I got the title wrong earlier)

There was a voice enactment where Sol headshots Or I solve. No idea on why LM has not uploaded it. Maybe they will add it to campaign.

I bet we haven't seen the last of Orion just yet, a genius like him would have a backup plan in case of his death. Wouldn't be surprised if they're keeping him alive with a modified version of the virus of avarrach they obtained from immortal sufferer.  :)

Clearly what happened is that he dyed his hair and started building guns (of Goliath) for the angels.
