Card Design Challenge – Age of Commanders

Design a character with either active or passive ability that works from command zone.
Don't create card which can only buff itself like AC Mechborn or Kinetically Overloaded Drone.
There are no further restrictions, so nothing will limit your creativity
  :)

--- Card Design Challenge Rules ---
1) The Judge appoints a challenge, it can be anything, making new card, redesigning an old one or whatever you wish.
2) All that wish to participate submit their card design. Each participant may only submit one entry per challenge, you may however edit your post as many times as you wish till the deadline.
3) After an announced deadline the Judge decides a winner. The winner then becomes the Judge for the next round, if the winner does not wish to host the next round a runner-up may do so instead.
4) All entries submitted before the deadline are guaranteed feedback, either in this thread or in another detailed feedback thread.

Deck Building / Decks you can build

Here are few decent decks that can be build without highest rarity cards (with exception for Evellee).


FINAL HAMMER combines direct and inderict damage + maximize the latest. It plays mostly like other rush decks, but Sacullas with Controlled Temporal Anomaly provides you more options to close the game, for this you may let your splitters die for more tokens on board.
Herald of Dawn into Shikana for heavy damage.

INFESTED WARRIORS main win-condition is morale damage, play Lingbao's Will on turn you expect biggest morale loss and combine it with Tome artifact, which also will stall game.
Ability of sage commander together with Yuanshi's Wrath card may wipe out entire board at one go.

UNDEAD BEASTS can slow down faster decks with Bloodthirsty Dead and Aleta, Fight on Infested Hulker will steal killed char.
Aunissial let you play characters like Evolving Parasite with haste or let you use Zuza's ability on the same turn as you deploy her, in late game Helix Worm.
If you save dropbears from Eucalyptus Tree, you can spend resources without playing cards from hand, giving you option to overcharge more cards for Subdues The Meek - time it right to claim victory.

DESCDENDANTS OF DAWN way of play is to deal as much damage as possible early game, then deploy Urn artifact and focus on defence if needed.
If you deployed Counting The Days, play Jinhai Ambush and use Xi ability as much as possible in turn that mission will be resolved.

MECHA MADNESS let you deploy important chars like Taiga and Lucca with more reliable way, using her first ability on token from Splitter-Lite gives you high chance to recruit Lucca or big splitter, also the way Recruiter works - let you have multiple unique chars on board.
Genetic Splicing together with Zom-B-Gone is a 4 cost combo removal that can kill up to 3 chars.
Cannon Fodder for turn 1 play, you can either block with it if needed or wait in suport till buffed.

DEMON RECRUITER is a control deck that let you play characters for cheap during early game thanks to commanders: after deploying Hellkeeper you can recruit 6/6 flying demon for 1 resource cost. You can see how it works in gameplay video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzxnRTBKrCo

Not much to say about that one, the name says it all. Goal is to kill, kill chars, kill fun, kill everything. It works best against rush and token based decks.
If you're type who enjoys seeing little kittens cry, then by all means - this is a deck for you.

TOKEN KNIGHTS is token rush deck :)
Rita with Aleta provide fresh supply of tokens every turn, while you have many tools to buff their attack and deal with defenders.

Another token deck, more defensive in early turns, but with many ways of buffing your army.
In late game both Xi commander and Xi Ascended gives you unlimited flying angel tokens, while Lucca + Box and Gunz are constant immediate buffs.

NECRONOMICON is yet another control deck, general plan is to take control on board using huge variety of spells and slowly chop health of enemy fortress with tokens. Necropolis location deployed early will let grow your token swarm really fast, making each death double worth, while other player may be intimidated by cost of every mistake.
Blood Arrows are cheap and strong removals, and additional cost of sacrificing your own guy is nothing with those commanders.
Word of Command is another flexible tool, play surprising parasite or Shikana for example.
Factionless Aleta is further source of chars, depending of situation and deck you face, she allows you to make 8/9 beast beast every turn or Verore Death Worshipper, you can copy her with Apparition, or copy Shikana, or troublesome enemy chars like avatars and kidnap them later.

Flying rush, spam with cheap charge chars and buff them with Guns of Goliath and / or Lucca + box (eventually Red Tape). Strong finisher in the form of Emberstarter + Higher Calling or just spam with Xi tokens to finish early.
[credits for this deck come to dogeee - strong vet player, I only did minor changes to make budget version of it]

Mix of AOE damage and durable chars - together with commanders, there are 8 that transform into zombie upon death, all just 3 cost. Turn 2 you can use Mark Of The Demon on Ixxi or kill/weaken enemy char. Adaptive Ritualists will let you play best tool available, like playing multiple Gather The Weak at the beginninig or just spamming with AOE spells.
Deploy chalice artiifact if you can control the board.
Demonic Presence is great against combo decks and COV overall, good idea is to play Gather The Weak before it for 1 cost 6/6 demons next turn.

Rush, a little slower but more durable - with Aleta Sufferer you don't care about single deaths, Noble Protectors provide defence against damage abilities, while Resolute Initiative can protect your army from killing spells like Death Ray and Mass Death and your own Tome artifact as well.
All of this should left you enough chars for Sacullas to do significant damage.

Ramp with swarm of beasts, increase reources and keep creating tokens till you can smash opponent with help of Pack Leaders. Try to keep your beasts alive, so up to then don't be afraid of not blocking and taking damage at the beginning of match.

ALLIANCE ASSAULT combines great tools from all factions, combos like Unstable Bomb-Bot with Cassial, which works both as offensive & defensive tool, Emberstarter with Higher Calling and buffs from Genesis.

Use War Machine to create big bots, defend with buffed Infectious Zombie and Bloodthirsty Dead, stall with Boomy and Winds of War, kill with Undead Corruption & Zom-B-Gone combo.

Classic IW deck and really cheap to build. Loaded with burn spells and Rubble Golems that you can balance later, deploy Tormented Thralls and use ability on them to change those into 10/10 chars.
Lingbao's Will is basically auto-win against sleepers and other decks with many small chars.

Secluded Constructor in command let you use artificals immediately after deploy and Noble Protector is here to let it survives long enough in most games. Typical strategy for GI to deploy robots and Scouting Mission and buff them to crazy numbers, with Emberstarter as possible finisher - Angelify will make him untouchable, use it on your priority to not risk some kind of removal.

Just attack  8)
Overcharging Morningstar Acellerator or Int Rally with Defiant Footman while you have (at least) decent board presence gives great value.

Playing this deck will decrease queue times, increase EXP and IP gain, add +2 to originality and +10 to cool factor.

My close friend DrewUniverse asked me to write weekly post in his stead, and since I am very nice guy I simply couldn't refuse such sincere request.
Some of you may be surprised, but all my negative comments about him were just a prank  ;)
He couldn't do it in time because of his real life, we shouldn't criticize him, he is human!

OK, back to topic:

Some of those cards will be changed before going live, our glorious balanced team already presented changes to designers, we are in the process of implementation.

Daily Quests
YES! ... They are back!!

Unfortunately it will still take some time to test those, but fear not - our work is steady  :)

We plan to launch on november, eventually in the beginning of december - but don't hold us to that timeframe  :D
Yes, all preorders get platinum borders, including the alternate arts.
Purchasing is available with IP or LP, although not both at the same time [You can’t buy a 25 pack with half LP and half IP].

General Game Discussion / Evaluation of DrewUniverse as CM

I wrote this post with silent approval of many veteran players,
DrewUniverse is paid employee, while we are customers of product called Infinity Wars, we have right to review that product and everything that affects it (so work of CM also), also can and should demand high quality product.

He is rarely online in game, what is one of, if not the most important part of his job, at least most visible for community.
He often cancels tournaments without any advance notice (so players keep wasting time on waiting) and there isn't shadow of remorse in CM after that.
We virtually must beg him to do his job, constantly reminding about weekly posts and tourneys.

It was direct blow in future game income, since russian market is huge thus important.

From time to time our 'great' CM disappears like Houdini for few hours or days and literally no one has the slightest idea where... Quite admirable feat, unfortunately not too useful since community manager is 24/7 job.

(And it wasn't even his first time doing so).
That was public suicide as CM, I have no idea how he kept job after that, my imagination just fails to understand it, even taking into account low standards in LM. Keeping him as CM after all of he did and did not is like keeping ticking bomb in hope it will not blow up and is and will be clear signal to community - we really don't care what you all think, we tolerate incompetence and indolence of person who is (or at least should be) face of our game,
 
I have access to PM's when he offended well known and honored members of our community.
What mockery is this where person responsible for communication can't hold his own emotions and keep offending such players?
As CM he can't show any negative emotions to players, that alone disqualify him in this job.
Just to be clear, those players wanted to offer help and feedback to make overall gaming experience better and such, they meant no harm.

All we see are his lame explanations and empty promises of improvement after countless screw-ups - all lies.
There is no excuse for such behavior. DrewUniverse proved over and over to be harmful for our game and provided, provide and
will provide negative feedback, now just from his mere existence alone. He is by no means reliable and lost our trust long time ago.
And before someone will start to defend him saying he sometimes does something -
I want to notice that it's his puffying job and should be taken as a given for God's sake!
All meaningful changes were done with the help of global moderators, previous council members etc,
They already do most of CM job (in their free time as volunteers!), and may do rest if needed.
All that's left are 'weekly' posts, but let be serious - I could write better posts in less than hour and english isn't even my first language...
So what our CM really does? I may as well answer he does nothing, and it'll be not far from truth.
I would like to conclude by saying that current CM is easily replaceable and temporary absence of CM position will not affect negatively IW in any way even in long term.
We only tolerate him due to circumstances, but enough is enough.
Time to end this farce with him being CM, someone who chose him should just admit it was big and costly mistake and be done with it.
PS I didn't mention my own personal issues with CM so you shouldn't accuse me of bias :)
