General Game Discussion / How dead is this game?
« on: July 04, 2018, 06:01:51 AM »
The last major news I heard was when a mod told the community that the developers were not focused on the game, which was in a way an admission to abandoning the game.

This game used to be fun as hell and had arguably the best mechanics in any card game; shame to see it fall from grace. LOL, even the boards have been taken over by some guy posting links to an essay-writing site, which leads me to believe that even the mods have abandoned the boards.

Anyways, when was the last expansion or meaningful patch?

General Game Discussion / Martyr Golem inquiry
« on: June 30, 2015, 03:21:00 AM »
I played against an opponent who had 2 Martyr Golems out. However, when one of hen's monster received damage, only one received damage, while the other did not. The card specifically says that Martyr Golem takes damage, therefore, both cards individually named Martyr Golem should have taken damage. In other words, only one of the card activated; the newer card took damage first, which makes even less sense. Why did the card resolve as though only Martyr Golem was on the field at a time, and the other was not?

I completed four games, yet I did not receive the indication of receiving a free reward for completing three games; I have no idea of knowing if I received it or not, because a similar thing happened to me two days ago. Is there a way to filter the game so that one can view the latest cards earned?

General Game Discussion / Equilibrium query.
« on: June 21, 2015, 03:01:31 AM »
So is it viable for an opponent to use "Equilibrium" turn 1 or two, and then "Heat Wave" on turn 3 to effectively wipe out an opponent's commanders?

General Game Discussion / How does Lingbao's Will work?
« on: June 20, 2015, 08:36:33 PM »
Does it take off 4 extra morale for each creature that dies, or only 4 extra morale added on top of the total morale lost that turn? I ask, because I had 4 monsters with four morale out, as well as a couple of others with 5 morale, and my opponent had two of the monkeys out, and it dealt 60 +morale.

General Game Discussion / Avatar of Yuanshi question.
« on: June 19, 2015, 04:01:34 AM »
I had an interesting match in which I managed to kill this creature, then the very next turn it was able to enter the battlefield; for example, turn 11 I killed it, but turn 12 it was right back on the field. The text says it becomes exhausted instead of dying, so why did this occur? Am I to assume that it only becomes exhausted the turn it died?

General Game Discussion / Sleepers of Avarrach rant.
« on: June 16, 2015, 02:21:50 AM »
Seriously, this faction is beyond ridiculous... not only can it summon powerful monsters at relatively low resource costs, but those same monsters have very low morale considering their base strength and abilities. Its annoying to consistently lose matches when an opponent have less than 20 morale, yet more than half of my opponent's deck is in the graveyard (not counting the ones that were revived). On top of that, the faction has at least 2 separate cards which automatically summons their respective others when played (of course they are powerful as well with little morale and resource cost). At the very least, increase the morale costs of the key monsters, and make Cyber Infected Dragon susceptible to reducing the owner's morale.

Tie in objectively broken cards like Hakeem the Corrupted and Sleeper of Avarrach (which might as well state "after the turn you play this, you win the game"), and the faction is a braindead abusable deck with a demonstrably effective strategy.

This game needs some serious balancing all around, or else the only sure fire way to not get cheated out of a win is to resort to playing with Verore (3 copies of Mass Death, Chain Blast, Overcharged Storm, and Calamity for good measure).

General Game Discussion / Pre-order bonuses inquiry.
« on: June 08, 2015, 03:44:19 AM »
I bought only one Oppression booster pack two weeks ago. Am I still be eligible to obtain ALL of the pre-order bonuses assuming the community reaches that far, or do I have to buy a booster during each "round?" Thank you in advance.

I wonder because I used "Fear" followed by "Altar of Binding," yet "Altar of Binding" resolved first making it so that the targeted creature was prevented from leaving the attack zone, and then "Fear" forced all creatures to the support zone. I tried this on two different scenarios, and the issue occurred during both.

The card does not implicitly state that it has preemptive, yet it behave as though it does. Am I missing something, or is this a glitch?

General Game Discussion / Patch 1.4 Campaign inquiries
« on: May 26, 2015, 02:27:28 AM »
Hey Guys,

I recently completed the campaign up to the challenge missions (completed the Verore, Flame Dawn, Warpath, Genesis, and DoD); I received the appropriate rewards.

Now, there aren't any new missions available...unless I am missing something. It should also be mentioned that I currently have 7 items in the inventory, including the five card packs from winning the challenge missions.

1) Am I missing something, or is that it for the campaign?

2) How does one access the hard mode mentioned in the achievements sections?

3) Is there a limit on how many items you can have in your inventory?

Thanks in advance!

General Game Discussion / issues with "Sad to Death" Achievement
« on: May 10, 2015, 08:28:12 PM »
I am having trouble with this achievement/title. At the start of the day I had 3/5 complete, yet I just played 3 games where I reduced my opponents' morale to zero: the first ended the entire match through means of reducing the damage AND morale to zero, the second I entered a draw with an opponent who reduced my health to zero, and the last I won by reducing my opponent's morale to zero. However, when I checked after my supposed third morale win, I still only had 3/5 of the task complete.

It just says that you have to win by reducing your opponent's morale to zero, but does that only mean winning the ENTIRE match as well, or individual games? I ask, because the last two times I was in a match, yet the whole thing ended in a draw (I won 1, my opponent won one, and there was a draw).

Any help is appreciated.

General Game Discussion / Any ideas on how to handel GI?
« on: May 09, 2015, 03:36:42 AM »
The Immortal Tinkerer, Secluded Constructor, and Kinetically Overload Drone as commanders are too overwhelming - especially Tinkerer. Plus, something tells me that this combo is popular. To make matters worse, the deck has a slew of fliers making it even more difficult to defend against.

General Game Discussion / Very weird....
« on: May 04, 2015, 02:46:03 AM »
My opponent was playing with Triple Warpath (Granthar, Titan of the New World, and Brings Life By Passing) and summoned Hungry that even possible? I know there is a card which lets a player have a card of every purity, yet that card was not a commander, and my opponent used Assassinate twice (two assassinate cards). Additionally, my opponent managed to continuously gain resources (max reached was 14), even though hen had only 1 Brings Life By Passing the entire game; the turn before lethal hen gained 2 resources in one turn without playing a single card. Can desync cause such an issue, am I missing something, or did I witness something weird?

General Game Discussion / Noble Protector inquiry.
« on: April 26, 2015, 10:52:50 PM »
Does its ability also apply to itself? I ask because it does not specifically say that ALL characters (including itself) within the same zone gain its ability, it just says characters. I was going to post its online description, but its different than the in-game description I saw. Thanks in advance.

General Game Discussion / Aleta, the Immortal Traveler Bug.
« on: April 25, 2015, 01:17:20 AM »
A while ago I played against an opponent who activated Aleta, the Immortal Travel's ability to summon an Invincible Warrior. However, the Invincible Warrior went straight to the Defense zone as soon as it was summoned (via Aleta's ability). This took place for three straight turns, so I doubt it was the result of de-syncing. More importantly, this should not have occurred for the following reasons:

1) Taken from the infinity Wars site, "Character Cards which possess the Vigilance ability are immediately placed into the Defence Zone when played from the player's hand." Thus, Invincible Warrior should NOT have been summoned directly to the defense zone as it was not played from the hand, rather its existence originated from Aleta's ability, which itself must be activated, not played.

2) Aleta's ability specifically states that the unlimited character is initially summoned to the support zone. This is in blatant violation of the card's text.
