Hello IW friends!

I Have managed to bring life back into a deck purity that was considered no longer viable. It is none other than the Rite of Rage Sac combo! Thank you all for the very helpful suggestion of adding Death Blast, I have decided to add it (Sarcasm).

I won't take complete credit for this idea because I have seen someone run a similar setup in the past ( I can't remember their name or I would mention them). This deck is very complex and takes quite a bit of skill to master. So anyways let's move on to the deck recipe.

Command:
Blood Crazed Initiate
Rita, Mistress of Shadow
Aleta, Immortal Sufferer

Characters:
3x Hellkeeper
3x Diseased Zombie
3x Bloodthristy Dead
3x Evolving Parasite

Abilities:
3x Siphon Structure
3x Death Ray
3x Dark Blast
3x Mass Death
3x Fear
3x Infest
2x Feast on The Dead

Locations:
2x Ruins of Veroria

Artifacts:
3x Tome of The Dead
2x Wall of The Dead

Missions:
1x Ritual of Summoning

*****BEFORE YOU COMMENT ABOUT ADDING DEATH BLAST THE POINT OF DECK IS SURVIVING WITH WALL OF DEAD*****

Anyways now that we have that out of the way, yes you could add Death blast but that would change how the deck worked entirely and you would have to take out the cards that make this deck what it is.

Guide: How the deck is designed to work is constantly using Rita and Aleta to supply you with a defense against aggressive decks. The deck gets complex in the sense you need to know when its okay to take a token or two and attack slowly chipping away at the opponents health. This is hard for newer players as they panic when they see an opponent with a lot of characters and they are afraid to attack. When it comes down to it it's all about character placement. You also have to be very weary as to when you should Mass Death and you have to be good at predicting one shot kill abilities (Death Ray and Infest). The Tomes should be self explanatory, they can kill opponents characters adding them to your grave which helps with Wall of The Dead. You can also use Fear to stall without having to use kill abilities so Tome can go off and get the most value out of it. The rest of the abilities are so you can deal damage to your opponent fortress because the tokens by themselves aren't going to be enough. The Wall of The Dead and Ruins of Veroria make a great combo by killing your opponents characters (Ruins of Veroria) while you take no damage to your fortress (Wall of The Dead). This deck obviously is pretty weak to OOS as they usually run a lot of grave removal AKA Soldier of Purity not to mention they have tons of flyers which makes your tokens useless because they can't block. Needless to say you can still win with a good Mass Death or Tome of The Dead with stall cards. This deck can also very easily lose to morale bomb decks unless you draw Feast on The Dead. Anyways that's all the advice I have. GLHF all!

I don't recommend using Yuanshi with the cards you have in your deck, He probably hurts you more than anything. I Have a Tibat deck that a made and it does quite well, it got me all the way to gold so I'm sure it could help you also. Check it out and edit it to your liking! http://forum.lightmare.com.au/index.php?topic=66480.0

I agree with basically everything CommunistMountain said, but if you are dead-set on making a 2P GI 1P CoV deck then I recommend using Acolytes in deck and Siphoners. I would also recommend using Control Temporal Anomaly. If you are going to use Immortal Tinkerer in deck then you are going to need to add in more artifical characters such as Splitter Bot. Cards you should take out as stated before by CommunistMountain are Zuza, Assimilator, Jubalia, Hubris( isn't quite as good as it seems), Blackbind Witch, Perils of command( As said by CommunistMountain better put in sidedeck for ranked),and Alpha One. Those cards don't quite fit with the deck you are trying to create from my understanding. I hope that you get your deck refined enough to play it in ranked GL!

I suggest taking out Lightning blast and adding in Chain Lightning to make use of 2P CoV, it may be 1 resource more and a slower curve but It's much more powerful in terms of damage output and can be useful against people who use token decks. I like seeing old decks being brought back to life with new cards. I have been trying to figure out a good way to use Struggle for power and this isn't a bad start. Thanks for sharing your deck idea!

Deck Building / 1P Exile 2P SOA
« on: August 21, 2016, 03:49:46 PM »
I decided to try and do a new take on infested abomination and this is the deck i came up with, before I go through all the cards im going to give a warning that this deck isn't competitive in ranked as it is easily taken out by graveyard removal as all infested abomination decks are same with SOA. Anyways here it is, enjoy!

Command:
Aleta, Immortal Sufferer
Infected Devil *Interchangeable with infested abomination*
Zombie Scavenger

Characters:
3x Zombie Scavenger
3x Diseased Zombie
3x Infected Devil
3x Evolving Parasite
1x Agent Coyle, Zomborg
1x The Last Sleeper
3x Infested Abomination
3x Plaguebearer

Abilities:
2x Bury
3x Infectious transfusion
3x Overwhelming Dead
3x Fear
3x Combustion
3x Demonize
2x Mark of Demon

Artifacts:
1x Tome of The Dead

Guide:
You can think of this deck as any other infested abomination deck, you try to get your infested abominations in the graveyard. For this deck though you don't just stall until you kill your opponent with them. In this one you attack constantly (or defend against FD) with zombie tokens with Aleta and Overwhelming Dead. All the while slowly buffing your scavengers. You want to try and be safe with the scavengers as you can't just Hehkeem them back to life if they die; so it does take some know-how and skill to know when to attack with them.

Strong against:
Cov- They are all about control and it doesnt really matter when they are being killed from characters in the grave, also you should be able to get a small rush in before they can Mass death your characters.
FD- With your mass tokens and low cost characters you typically can defend and attack against FD at the same time slowly chipping them away until they lose their will to fight in mid to late game.

Weak against:
Exile- Most SOA decks are weak against Exiles as they have a few of consume characters, which can get out of hand unless you get a lucky Evolving Parasite.
OOS- most OOS decks are rush and they have a few ways to remove your infested abominations making the deck completely useless, not to mention they have multiple flyers making you defenseless.
DoD- Pretty much all DoD decks run Yuanshi's Wrath which can easily destroy your scavengers and mass tokens draining you of morale.

I know full well how to play Cov Lol I dont think i need much to change with this deck, I have played this deck as is and it works spectacularly. I have tested it against many Omnitron decks and it works great. All you have to do is annihilate spheres before they become a problem. Also for WP the whole point is to get to use Oblivion as fast as possible so missing kill spells isn't a problem. So i think you are missing the point of the deck. First it makes no sense to take out devils bargain as its the main card of the deck aside from Oblivion of course. It discards spells so that you may use Oblivion earlier. The reason for having 3 Oblivions is in case you discard an Oblivion and you cant find a recycle then you will still have a  better chance of getting Oblivion. What would an Oblivion deck be if you couldn't draw an Oblivion anyways? Normally in a different deck the most I would run is 2 even then I think that's too much. As for the summoning stones it doesnt make sense either as they get destroyed by oblivion sooooo? Verore kidnapper also dies from Oblivion pretty early so you screw yourself if you kidnap a descended character or something of the sort as it comes back into play. As for the morale drain cards you are talking about adding in yes im sure you could add those in and take out some other cards as a substitute. Oblivion is a good morale drain obvi. I mean that's going to happen when you destroy all their characters. Anyways i think you missed the point of the deck, if you tried playing it as is and played it by the guide I gave im sure you would realize it works how i designed it to. Anyways I hope that didn't sound too much like I was being a d!ck. Hope to see you in the rifts!

Deck Building / 3P CoV Oblivion
« on: August 20, 2016, 09:30:38 PM »
I used to be a Verore main back in the day but they just aren't what they used to be. There are some decks here and there that arent bad such as Dragon revive. I thought I would see if i could add some life back into 3P Cov. I wouldn't say it's an original deck and I wouldn't say it's competitive either. But here it is.

Command:
Rita, Mistress of Shadow
Tormented Thrall
Tormented Thrall

Characters:
3x Tormented Thrall

Abilities:
3x Recycle
1x calamity
3x Mass Death
3x Lightning blast
2x Charged Bolt
3x Chain Lightning
3x Siphon Structure
2x Dark Vision
3x Death Ray
3x Annihilate
3x Devil's Bargain
3x Dark Wish
1x Overcharged Storm
3x Oblivion

Missions:
Ritual of Summoning

Guide:
Use kill spells and Rita to hold off until late game. Use Devil's Bargain to quickly discard hand to get Oblivions all the while putting spells in discard pile to further reduce Oblivions cost. Use recycles to grab any Oblivions or other important kill spells such as MD that you may have discarded with Devil's Bargain.

Strong against:
Gi decks in general that focus on Omnitron or purely buffing characters.
WP decks depending on the player as most WP cards have high morale cost.
DoD decks that focus on morale drain.

Weak against:
Most rush decks if it be OOS or FD, if you can't gain control by mid game you will most likely not make it to late game.
