Posting just in case.

I remember noticing the boosters were smaller than Steam advertised, but I can't recall if I ended up purchasing before or after the change (might've possibly been me reading about the DLC contents days before acquiring them, and not giving the page a second read before doing so).

this is a bug we fixed in the 2.1 update along with some other small enhancements/bug fixes to the trade interface such as displaying soulbound cards and fixing the faction filter for your own cards.

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I got it 2 out of 3 times yesterday, and by what I can see from this thread I think it's far from fixed.
Still, might be me having some bad luck with it, as some people I spoke to ingame said the issue was mitigated greatly for them.

Anyways, I think you guys should gather a bit more information before deeming a bug "fixed".

Hey Tinkercide, just to clarify you got the cards bunching up bug?  If so, I'll have the team take another look into it.

Yeah, that precisely.
I've recently noticed it's happenning less to me too, but it's still there.

Your best bet for this type of stuff is the bug report feature. Hit your "Esc" button ingame, click on Submit a Bug and a browser tab will open for you. It's a great tool to directly contact the dev team with this kind of issues.

Bleh I am so tired of noobs thinking calamity is some kind of I win button, most decks are better off without the card.

I never said it was a "I win button" i said it was a get out of jail card. Its the card you play when either your opponent has a lot more to lose on the board then you or if your about to die. We could argue about whether having a wipe card (aka the card you play when the opponent overwhelms you) be accessible by every faction is balanced, but you have clearly already made up your mind. It doesn't take 3000 hours of game time to be able to see that giving everyone access to a board wipe isn't a good idea. It's actually pretty obvious to any experienced tcg player. Probably like those newbs to infinity wars who disagree with you.

I also said not using it is gimping yourself. it's a free oh crap I'm going to lose i better reset the board card. It's like throwing all the chess piece of the board and saying "Do over!" Cards like that belong in card games but not unrestricted to anyone any faction any time. In my experience id say around 7 out of 10 times if i have a overwhelming force on the board the player pulls out a calamity, regardless of the faction. Balance aside, that's not healthy diversity, that's a crutch.  The problem imo is that the game feels like Calamity Wars when i see it played so often by every faction.

Calamity can be telegraphed and countered/played around in a variety of ways.

Yeah and unless you're 2p DoD you're going to save what maybe 2 creatures if you have the cards in your deck (forcing players to build defensively around calamity. aka Calamity Wars) and are lucky enough to have drawn them and predicted Calamity correctly and have priority on the turn Calamity is cast. Just because they bump their resource doesn't mean they are going to calamity. Those are a lot of variables to claim as a valid counter play to a card, especially when it's factionless.

You don't play around Calamity by playing Noe. You pressure the enemy and win before it comes out. And if it's not enough, respond accordingly -after- it's cast, not during the turn it comes out (unless it involves priority shenanigans and Call the Crusade, or stuff like that).

You can also force him to discard it, make him waste it by using several different cards/strats much like the one you thought about when writing that post, and a lot of other stuff. There's just too many ways to screw a player who uses Calamity carelessly.

Getting to a point where the enemy can comfortably waste a turn, eradicate his board setup and then turn the game around with ease means he deserves to win the game.

I don't see any difference, it crashes just like before the patch. Prior to the crash the card preview becomes glitchy and shows something what can be described like parts of all cards at the same time.

This + card miniatures start becoming black with white ovals at the centre.
There doesn't seem to be any change for me, a few minutes into the editor and my cards go crazy before crashing the game, just as usual.

Idea for Ixxi:

cost 1

At the beginning of your turn, if Ixxi is in your hand, you have to play Ixxi or discard another card from your hand.
If you play Ixxi this turn, you may not play another card this turn.
If Ixxi dies, Ixxi goes to your opponent's hand.

this way Ixxi can be more playable, and the play have a choice between discarding or not playing cards for the turn( can still use trading post or abilities) and the discarding mech will fit more with the exile mech.

+1000.

Removes random factor, allows for counterplay and can backfire on the enemy's face if played carelessly.
Although I'd debate over having his cost increased by 1 each time he dies instead of not allowing you to play cards.

Huh, I was thinking of checking out the game again after seeing the message with the whole Reborn stuff, but it looks like development is still going as slow as possible.

How are things going card wise currently, any set time for the next card set? Are the 5 card pack sets fairly priced or is the game slowly going the way of Pay to win? I would really hate that. I have very fond memories of IW, and although I got somewhat bored of it, I always wanted to get back to it when it got finally revived.....

Well, I'll try to sort out my opinion on that aspect.

Penta packs: There's two aspects to this. First of all, you essentially get less stuff than before, but they buffed epics+/golds/foils drop rates, so you get valuable drops way more frequently than before. I like it, since quality is better than quantity IMO.

LP Purchases: I agree with most on the fact that alt art penta packs are lame. They should guarantee a drop, not just give out a chance to fail and become a glorified Collection penta pack. Still, they aren't really impactful on the game at all. Regular and faction penta packs are fine, and so are cosmetics.

DLC: Ridiculously worth it. Even though the fact that DLCs weren't the one thing we needed most, they're really cost-efficient, netting you around $180 worth of in-game content for just $48. The stuff you get is also pretty cool.

Draft: Don't really mind the cost increase on the entry fee (although I'm a total scrub in draft so I don't really play it often, lol), but I do believe rewards should get a rework, and that IP gain should be enabled throughout it.

Overall, the game's not really p2w at all, and it offers great pricing on IRL currency purchases.

Flame Ram.
I managed to pull a draw in draft by dealing 64 flat damage with it somehow.

I get that resources are thin, but if yodomare could get thier heafs out of thier asses and do things that actually matter instead of redesigning death blast this game would be in much better shape.

The problem is though resources are not that thin. Yodomare came in supposedly with fresh resources, how many people did they announce where working on the game, at least 12 if I remember correctly. Ill check it later and edit if I have to, but pretty sure it was 12. I think its fair to say that if you asked most people what they expected from a team of TWELVE PROFESSIONALS WORKING TOGETHER AS A TEAM FOR SEVEN MONTHS, it would be a hell of a lot more than a handful of bug fixes. Im confident with a team of 5 other people I could rebuild IW from scratch in that time... bug free and with features like spectate and crafting included. Thats a bold claim I know but I stand by it. Id make Shikana a he again too goddamnit!  ;D

But progress has always been slow in IW so thats not news, but what has disappointed me is the radio silence from the devs and community managers during what is potentially the most important time the game is going though. We are in the hype weeks leading up to the full launch of IW reborn, during DLC sales and summer sales and what not. With the number of players recently increased and deciding whether or not to invest money, recommend the game to friend, or go play something else they brought on steam this is a time for MAXIMUM dev interaction. This is the time that personally I would have made the biggest effort to have a presence in the community. This is NOT the time for skipping the bare minimum of a weekly post in the forums.
I am very proud to see some of our fine players stepping up. Largenuggets put on an amazing 24 stream, the most fun in a stream ive had since moose hosted the Team tournament. Pelagoth is also about to host a 24 hour stream to hype the game and the player base. Many players including myself have put in so much effort to fully fill out the wikipedia and guides for new players.
So its a real shame to see the player base completely outshine the dev team during a time when the devs passion should be carrying the community. We want to see Yodomare getting penta kills right now not telling us how they avoided a gank during the previous game.

Step it up Yodomare, we all rooting for you and I think you have more in the tank :) Lets do this!

D-do I somehow aggre with Adorabear? ??? ???

This must be one of the best posts I've seen in a while, props on you mate, I guess. +1.

tinkercide as much as i appreciate your 2cents i have to disagree, if we dont bash them over the heads with negativity they will continue to pump out substandard patches and act as though there has been major changes worthy of 6 months hard work (when i say 6 months hard work i mean that in the most sarcastic way possible,) for example the UI, the campaign, the shop... Without negative there is no positive.

There's such a thing called constructive criticism. I know by experience that raising forks and torches every now and then is counter-productive.
I've seen complaints reach a minimum pre-Reborn, but as of now everyone's acting like we took 10 steps backwards. I realize the update was underwhelming for most, but that doesn't mean the game's development ends here.
Stuff such the OP are pointless, we need a voice, and ideas to communicate. Going straight into a chain of fruitless complaint will do nothing for us or YM.

I think there is some new voice acting, some enhanced missions... but overall, yeah, the campaign is nearly the same. And its still a clickfest in all means! Not sure, why i do have to click all the time via the intros to see the next new fragment previous a misison.

The most dissapointing thing in the campaign, there are so many factions missing that i cant even understand, why polising tiny stuff, while the whole thing is still uncomplete. Get one thing done, and then start to polish it in one sweep.

And, there is still no epic-mission support for OoS. Still no, play X games, still no badge in profile, still nothing.

The point is, at every detail i look - there is no significant improvement, or its still compeltly ignored. So what the hell is "Reborn"? Just the promise that if we pay more, we get more different (Alt-Art) cards? Or is it some meaningful promise/restart to do things better?

I cant even talk about draft right now, cause from my point of view - its the worst shape than ever! Completly out of balance, multiple back to back match ups with the same opponent, Gold cards dont appear, game crashes, some wins dont even count. Like wtf? And since dialogue completly stopped in that point, i dont even have the impression there is anything going on in that point. Why participating in a "Cultivation Draft" thread, which is ignored or just leaving the impression "yeah, we just ask to be polite - but we already made up our mind".

For Penta Packs i start to feel scammed from the Devs... yeah, collect your own data during PBE and see the rates for real? How about NOT playing afterwards with the percentages, and keep some stuff running. Or at least, have some balls and communicate EACH percentage change your doing all over the weeks/months. Didnt saw any information that in Draft premium changes where done - but i think, everyone will agree that it happened. You start to act like a bunch of scammers, and that is exactly what Adorabear discribed when he wanted to see reliable rates!

Btw... already in late 2014/early 2015 it was common knowledge, that this game needs a new client to step forward. Elphie talked even about each year a new IW client starting with IW 2015 client. I cant even understand why you guys are still trying to repair the mess, instead of working in the direction the previous CEOs already detected as the best solition.

Common... i didnt want to put that much effort in the thread, but somehow. The more i think about the last 3 months, the more it feels like a show without any agenda or script.

For the blog - its super awesome. Targets old german people, who suffering from getting old, loosing beloved persons and struggling with getting in touch with other olds beside retierement home/campus - or just having financial issues. I think the main audience is around 50-70. The link - i will keep it safe. Dont want to mess with him - he has at least a huge experience in puffyslapping kids who did something wrong :P

P.S. im in a hurry, and cant fix all the wrong prepositions and spelling mistakes i did. Many "in´s" should be "by´s, at´s etc" :)

Now this is constructive and much-needed criticism. I believe your points are valid, and sums up most of the complaints everyone have. +1.

This is a very unproductive OP, sir.

I am hoping we get some sort of roadmap for their plans for the future. I'm not talking about new card sets or updates though those would be nice. More pertaining to how they're going to get this game out there and pushes for new players.

Came here to +1 this.

While I do agree that a "Reborn" update should've brought up more stuff along with it, they've been anything but quiet regarding future updates (although they come in a bit late, yes) so if there's one thing to complain about, it's announcement scheduling.

I don't really think a roadmap would do too much good to the game, although possible plans for the future would be much appreciated if shared. After all, what happened last time they created roadmaps wasn't nice.

Also, I understand Drew might be having a little too much work on him, so why not designate someone else to deal with community issues while leaving him do the announcements/actual community work, or vice-versa?

Weekly posts are anything but weekly, we need consistency on community announcements. Put someone in charge of them and set a determined day of the week for everyone to look forward to, that'll do a great job in keeping people happy (even if there's not any major announcements at the time of writing, it's easy to prepare teasers, talk about the present, the future and showcase community-driven content).

At last, we as a community must support YM, not bash their heads in with negativity spread. The past 6 months have been great for us, and if it's proven anything is that we're moving forward from the dark times. Let the past go.

News and Developer Talk / Re: New Infinity Wars Reborn Trailer

I hope that video gets an update.
It uses a load of assets from the old one, displays typos, outdated content, and the end bit where they mashed the merged deck part of the old trailer into this one seems way out of place.

Yodomare needs to pay closer attention to their advertising, as it's one of the things this game needs the most. Creating a good image from the get-go is crucial for newcomers to get a positive first look at the game.
