General Discussion / Re: Card Flavor Text List
« on: May 06, 2015, 09:17:30 PM »
Congratulations ! good work!

How can i translate the flavor text? Whats is and where is the file to open and edit ?

There's is no file that contains all the flavor text. All of these flavor texts were found by me and a few others sitting down and starting at the cards and copying down by hand the text that appeared on them. Though you're more than welcome to copy the post and translate it yourself if you like.

This looks really nice! :D If you have a DeviantArt account, you could publish this in our fan art group for others to see:

Hello players, IW enthusiasts, fanfiction writers, and fan artists. With gold release in just about a week I thought it was about time that we spread our influence beyond the forums. For any users or potential-users of the art site DeviantArt, I've created a group for people to share they Infinity Wars related work. We already have a couple of pieces from original Infinity Wars artists that you can take a look at. And of course, if you don't want to make an account, you can always just stop by from time to time to see what people have come up with!

General Game Discussion / Re: 27 Win Draft Deck Analysis Video

Before I watch the video I want to say one thing.  When I saw the thread topic I was like, "Oh goodie, a viewpoint from another great player.  I wonder what she used?  I have my best runs with GI/CoV/FD, it'll be nice to see some other plays I might have missed."

Open thread. See video intro.  *Facepalm* lol

Obviously they're the best :P

Hello all :)

It's Cthulhu Girl, back with another video about a draft deck I ran. I've incorporated your feedback and included the drafting process as well as videos of wins and losses.

Not my best deck or best run, but I think it gets some important points out there and hopefully it will help curious players draft better decks.

Hope you enjoy!

Lore / Re: A Thought: Alternative Sleepers Background

Yeah, that's the official lore. I think maybe it was more clear in the old campaign? I've spent a lot of time talking with devs about lore because it's freaking awesome. When Teremus streams on the official channel he'll talk about it endlessly if you get him going.

Lore / Re: A Thought: Alternative Sleepers Background

While an individual zombie is mindless, the entirety of the Sleepers force is not. The Sleepers of Avarrach ARE hive minded together via the Sleeper Network (see Plaguebearer). This is why they are such a threat because they communicate to find life forces and attack en masse. The hive mind itself doesn't appear to "develop strategies" because the virus itself is not actually malicious. It was never intended to be a weapon or to hurt anyone. The Virus of Avarrach was originally a nanotechnology designed to make people immortal. It gained sentience due to unintended exposure to magic and decided that the best way to preserve a human body forever was to turn it into a machine. This of course killed the host, but the virus has no concept of alive and dead, just mortal and immortal. But a dead host cannot provide life energy to power the virus so it seeks out new hosts and transfers their life energy via the network to the other nanobots to continue to power them (then tries to make it's host immortal since that's its job, and you know how that goes). They are merely willing to injure new hosts in the process of providing power to keep the old hosts immortal and don't see themselves as "bad", which seems like a fair trade if immortality is your only goal.

TL;DR The Sleepers ARE hive minded, they just aren't intended to be malicious and thus don't "develop strategies".

Deck Building / Re: Help with deck building!

Genesis is definitely you best faction in terms of what card you have that work together. Here are some other ideas using only the cards you have. Not necessarily the strongest iterations of these particular decks, but a good starting point if you want to play them and see what you want to change for your own play style.

Warpath / DoD

Verore / FD

Non-IW Discussion / Re: Three Word Story
« on: July 09, 2014, 09:57:32 PM »
At the dawn of the Eternal Flame ceremony, members were busy with the war preparations against word games. In the far, far, far, far end of the temple complex where cute fuzzy bunnies started to kill.  Everyone felt they were the apocalypse. Word Game Warriors stood up and rocked out with cute, fuzzy, little killers from beyond the hallowed portal. Totally unexpected they leaped at the notorious "E" thif, who fell into the dark abyss and found candy. The candy was a rare candy, which evolved my gum disease into ultra gum disease! To cure this, a lad named Frederdick Johnson created hair growth toothpaste. But it didn't grow hair on teeth because that would have been useful. Instead it caught fire to the fuzzy bunnies which terrified and aroused Frederick. Eventually The Flaming Bananas Brigade arrived and annihilated Fredrick Johnson. The "E" thif found a floating toothbrush that could evolve into a magic wand for obliterating the entire Flame Dawn Faction, thus creating the great word game that is the true cause of The Calamity. After realizing this he wanted to eat all the cheese in the world to starve all the Teremus. He grabbed his very large, puffy and sticky brown stick. He had decided to congregate the illuminati Bro Brigade by sacrificing his favorite diseased Gummibear to the great God of Willon. Suddenly Agent Coyle forgot his name and named himself King of Virgins. But the universe had already begun splitting itself into giant cheese crackers which started eating themselves. Tomorrow a transcendentalistic zucchini paladin changed his name to Marty of Galaento Dasamure, lord of pumpernickel canyon. Galaento then ventured into the future to bring disorder! But found himself under a big phalic piece of horse poop. He enlisted the help of cute fuzzy bunnies that kill and this post to bring about an end to this thread.

Lo' and behold from the ashes a great thread shall continue to seize the day. At one time, a Terror Moose actually fell asleep and skipped work! He was fired up from sleep and thrown out of his dreams. By a giant change of events he was recruited and sent to a wallowing hole getting oiled up to burn the ceremonial bunny statue. Upon burning the ceremonial bunny statue an evil demon appeared from the dust and dunked doughnuts into coffee. While disgracing doughnuts he fearlessly devoured all scooby snacks. While scooby snacking, "E" thif arrived to purge rifts and annihilate Infinity once and for not really all. Because then Infinity realized it's infinite empire strikes back!

And then, ducks! They fly into a jelly jungle of extrordinary radioactiveness for the blind. Unfortunately they're blind to consuming hatred from the North Korea.

Chapter four:
Fourth chapter this alternate art Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis:
-Why nobody types? Flying monkey attacks infantry of United Terror Moose Army on Unicycles Squadron.God of Willon dies.France navy gets destroyed. Verore overthrows french government. The notorious "E"mo suicides. The thing is Christina shouldn't dress the fuzzy bunnies like playboy models because she can't distinguish rabbits from Skraar's young, somewhat brown balls of What the Puffy brand cereal. Thankfully, the surprising explosion of the hilariously wonderful bear cubs bursted forth with cherry flavored candy. Christina's sudden aneurysm surprised the bunnies who wanted more thick sticky rods of Angel milk.

"Why can't you eat a dropbear without tabasco, or perfectly melted cheese? Could it be the Angel Milk determines your fate?"
"Of course not!" He said, arousing unnecessary concern in

I thought this thread had gotten as good as it was going to get, and then I read Teremus' comment XD

Personally I'd go with Caretaker. Tinkerer seems like she wouldn't be much of a conversationalist or I'd go with her. Love a techy girl. Sorceress would probably kill me, same with Sufferer and I don't know much about Traveler so I'm inclined to say no, but maybe that's all the more reason to do it?

Whew! It’s been a few days since Ascension’s release and the preorder data has finally quit coming in. I would like to give everyone that participated a big round of applause. It was a lot of work, but in the end we gathered information from 2,660 packs for a total of 39,900 cards! But before I give you the rundown on all the numbers, I’d like to put forth a few disclaimers.

This information is based off player experience and ONLY includes self-reported information from Ascension preorders opened between June 14th and June 18th of 2014. This is not official Lightmare data. Card drop rates are subject to change without notification.

This data is for curiosity purposes only. It is not intended to be used to predict future card drop rates. Please read all information regarding the statistics in order to understand them thoroughly. If you do not completely understand this information (or want help on your statistics homework), please contact me.

: By viewing the below information, you certify that you have read, understand, and will follow the above disclaimers.

Hopefully this information has been interesting and thank you once again to everyone who contributed! Remember that this information is very limited in scope and based only on player collected data and nothing from Lightmare. Use it wisely. Good luck and have fun!

Flame Dawn and Warpath are your two best bets. Each are very new player friendly and strong at rush, though Warpath are generally considered better for new players and stronger overall.

Qarnij is the top ranked player atm and a 3 purity Warpath diehard. He recently published the deck that took him to the top of the ladder. I don't expect you to just whip the deck together out of the blue and stomp on everyone, but he gives a lot of in depth information on the faction and all the cards in his deck, so its definitely worth a read:

Once you get a deck together, posting it on the forums will get you some good reviews from a variety of community members. So let us know what you come up with!
