Patch 0.98c Hotfix Notes

Hey guys,

We’ve done a hotfix to correct some issues that went out with yesterday’s patch. To receive this hotfix, please restart your client and make sure Steam has updated.

The Demon of Fear alternate art promotion is now back up and running, if you subscribe to our YouTube channel.

Client Fixes

- Rift Run queues are now back up!

- The Factionless filter on the deckbuilder now works correctly.

- The help menu buttons now are hidden properly when in queue.

- Improvements have been made to the memory leak issue.

- Fixed an issue that caused the Academy quest to not be completable.

- Implemented a fix for the new deckbuilder causing a large memory leak.

- Fixed an issue where non-collectable cards, such as those created by cards like The Dragon Project or Xi, were showing up in some collections, and allowed in decks.

- Cards in the graveyard once again show the stats of the card.

Card Fixes/Changes

Lilariah
- When playing Lilariah is undone, all Angels do not retain Flying.

Decension
- The demon now has Consume

Demonborn
- Text has been reverted to Pay 2 for Flying.

Enyah
- Enyah now works correctly with dual purity and hybrid cards.

Infected Monk
- Now returns from the Graveyard as intended.

Veroria, The Lone Keep
- Now able to use the activateable ability.

At the moment Engine of Riencarnation not only removes characters from the game but on top of that the tokens it creates from said characters are also removed from the game when they die.

I cant believe that this is intentional...

Oh god please have fixed or at least mitigated the memory leak.  90% of the time whenI shut down IW for the day it is because a memory leak crash.  Usually yhe first.or second time and I'm like, "That's enougb IW for the day."

If it wasn't in the patch notes, it wasn't intentional. Thanks for the report.

Just wanna throw thjs out there.  Rift queues are back but the game freezes at the loading screen after every match.  Signing off for the night.

Kudos, that's how fast a hotfix should deployed.  I just wonder myself, why did the lone keep bug pass QA? As it is a rather massive one.

It was working fine on QA. It was an oversight during the merging from test to live in the trunks.

Let it also be known we have sped up the skull graphic animation on death in an attempt to speed back up gameplay, we have re-applied the chosen action when hovering over graphic (If an ability has been applied to a character, hovering over the card will show what target you selected with a gray arrow), and I just want to state one thing that wasn't mentioned in the patch notes.

You can right-click a character card on the field to activate it's ability.

So much yes! While I still want the skull completely gone (I still believe it's highly unnecessary), it's already much more tolerable. And the right clicking is sweeeeeet!

I perfer to mention this in another thread  but the thing that slows down the resolution phase this patch is the delay after all characters attack following into the the HP bar animation going down. (The HP used to go down at the same time while attacking). I barely noticed the skull animation taking too much time.

i start to playe two deys ago, good no problem, yestorday i see a new patch i read about the fixes and i thought that i never see that bugs, yestorday i see all bugs of the patch notes...after install the patch, but ok... today new patch and new bugs, impossible to play wow! perma freeze on claim reward of rift run, after a battle freeze on loding screen! thanks

Out of all the bugs I can only think of the resolution being strange in fullscreen still, other than that the game runs like on oil. Magnificent!

Mechborn is a rare case of character that has two abilities. Would it prioritize his first ability over his second one?

I have noticed and I think someone else may have mentioned, Tome of the Dead isn't putting all creatures into your graveyard.

I would also like to say I am very happy with the updated battlefield, patch, notes and deck builder (bar a few minor quibbles). Keep up the good work!

Hellmouth still hasn't been fixed to generate it's tokens? I guess the bug report wasn't sent on it when I sent the bug report. :(

Could you please expand upon this? Because I don't look at any of the bug reports, I'm not familiar with what you're saying.

I don't have Mechborn. The AI does though, and I do have some Undead Corruption. Nope. It defaults to thinking you want to use his ability to buff himself. I even tested this with 12 resources to see if it'd use his second ability after using his first. To be fair though, he's one of few cards that has a second ability and you're more likely to want to buff him than Evolve him early on. Considering we've had to deal with individually clicking to activate abilities up to this point, one card is one card, and generally most cards only have one activated ability.

Also, Recurring Nightmare can't just be right-clicked to play, but he's in the graveyard and it's not technically an ability.

On another note and a suggestions, perhaps right-click could be more featured? Example: You know what an ability does, so you right-click to play from hand. You have a character? Right-click plays it to default zone. So most go to support, Charge goes to assault and Vigilance goes to defense. In the case of haste, simply clicking Play Card would put it in support un-exhausted, so do that. Just a suggestion, but I'm sure there are some people who wouldn't mind not having to manually drag everything.

Same for me as well. :( Anyone successful at getting this, as I kinda had that page sitting on my browser since it was first advertised.

I actually was able to subscribe and, after logging out and in again, got the card. I did it earlier today (like... Idk... 8 hs ago?).

I'm sure they'll fix it eventually guys, keep trying, or send a bug report.

I managed to get the alt art awhile ago,all i had to do was clear my cookies in Firefox and i stopped getting the error,don´t know if this will fix it for people using other browsers though.

Sure, when i sent in the bug report about Hellmouth, it was during the time that bug reports were having issues. Since I saw that it wasn't put in the notes as being fixed, I figured that to mean that it wasn't known yet. Playing Hellmouth works just fine, but when you activate it's ability by paying the resources, nothing ever happens.

Can you confirm that this is or is not still happening for you? None of us can re-create it.

I can verify that Hellmouth is now working properly.
